Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor and is famous as a character on a cult show on television called 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. The actor discovered his fascination for acting while in school and attended acting classes in the University of Colorado at Boulder. He's been featured in films and television, but it was his small-screen characters that brought him fame and an extensive fan base. He's been able to play effortlessly characters on both sides of the law, and captivate the viewers' interest. He played the part of a serial killer in his debut television show before moving on to play the role that of an NYPD detective. The small screen performances of his have been recognized with multiple Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. One of his most striking facial features is believed to be the blue eyes that pierce his face. They have been deemed to be a signature and has helped in the portrayal of rough characters that have charisma. He was named in People magazine's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
