She debuted her first single, Here in 2015, when she was just 19 years old. This single received high praise as well from critics and listeners. In that same year she dropped her debut album Know It All with the third single Scars to Your Beautiful being among the five original tracks that peaked at Billboard charts. This includes those of the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. Cara is well-known for her ability to incorporate the themes of mental health and kindness and self-love into her tracks. The inspiration for her music is her own personal journey as she has suffered from mental health problems as well as insomnia.
